MAKING GROTESK COMIC BOOKS
At Grotesk Comics, we create immersive and thought-provoking narratives. Founded in 2020 by artist Jonathan Kociuba and writer Eddie Mumford, our collaborative efforts birthed 'The Flytrap' series. What began as sketches from Jonathan's dreams evolved into a gripping sci-fi horror saga, with 'The Colony' marking its latest instalment. Drawing from personal experiences and fears, we explore themes of sacrifice, survival, and the grotesque, inviting readers to confront the darkest corners of existence through our storytelling.​

There’s something wrong with Dr. Wright… In the heart of a desolate swamp, a hidden cult known as The Colony harbours dark secrets amidst the chaos of a world devastated by plague and disaster. Dr. Wright, guided by strange mushrooms, embeds herself within their ranks as a healer. But as she secretly harvests the mushrooms that fuel her visions, a sinister agenda begins to unfold, leading her down a treacherous path of manipulation and sacrifice.

This captivating series laid the groundwork for our storytelling prowess and set the stage for the dark and immersive world of THE COLONY.
